I love to make this in the fall with the abundance of apples we have. I prepare this in the morning and let it sit all day to allow the flavors to mature and let the consistency solidify. Just heat and server for dinner.
I made these last night and it was a big hit with the family. My father-in-law even asked for the recipe. The creamy garlic sauce made these potatoes so delicious.
I made this today with the left over ham from Easter. It was amazing. There were no left overs. The recipe says it serves 6 but it really is enough only for four. The next time I will have to double this for my family.
