A bowl of oatmeal is my favorite way to start each day. I add different toppings each day like, fruit, nuts, peanut butter, coconut and, sometimes dark chocolate. It is heart-healthy, filling and delicious. So why not try it. I know you will love it!
How to Make Oatmeal
Ingredients
- ½ cup quick oats
- 1 cup milk of choice
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring the milk to a boil.
- Reduce heat and pour in the oats and cook for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat, pour into a bowl and stir in your favorite toppings.
- Thin with a little more milk, if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
If you would like to use old fashion oats, follow directions above and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

1/2 banana sliced
1 tablespoon peanut butter Maple Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon packed brown sugar
1 teaspoons maple syrup Strawberry & Cream
½ cup sliced strawberries
1 tablespoon light cream or heavy cream
1 teaspoons honey Banana Nut
½ banana sliced
2 tablespoons walnuts Dark Chocolate Coconut
1 teaspoon unsweetened dark chocolate powder
1 tablespoons sweetened shredded coconut (also can use toasted coconut)
