This is favorite around our house in the fall. But you can enjoy it anytime. This bread freezes well. I make several at a time to enjoy anytime.
Crunchy Apple Bread
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups diced peeled apples
- 3/4 cup raisins
- Cinnamon Sugar for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars.
- Add eggs and orange juice; beat well.
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt.
- Stir into creamed mixture.
- Stir in apples, raisins.
- Pour into greased loaf pan.
- Sprinkle top with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until bread is done.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
- Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
