I use peaches from our tree to make this summertime favorite. My family said it reminds them of a cookie with its crunchy top.
Best Peach Clobber
Ingredients
- Filling:
- 4-5 cups of peeled sliced peaches
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- Topping:
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Turbinado sugar optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease a 2-quart baking dish.
- In the prepared baking dish, add peaches and sugar, and mix until combined.
- Mix the butter, sugar, vanilla, flour, and baking powder until cookie-dough-like batter.
- Place scoops of the mixture over the top of the peaches.
- Spread with a spoon or with your fingers.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with turbinado sugar and bake for another 10 minutes.
- Finish with a few minutes (1 to 2 min) under the broiler to get it golden brown and crunchy.
- Severe and enjoy!
Notes
If you do not use turbinado sugar, do not remove from the oven and bake for 35 minutes.
