These are quite delicious. They are just as good as peanut butter cookies. The batch I made did not last long. So it is safe to say my family enjoyed them.
Almond Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup of white whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened cooled
- 1 cup almond butter
- 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Beat together butter and almond butter until smooth.
- Add maple syrup, egg, and vanilla and beat until well combined.
- Mix in dry ingredients.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Cover and chill dough for 2 hours.
- Use a small cookie scoop and place on prepared baking sheets 2 inches apart.
- Flatten each ball with a fork, making a crisscross pattern.
- Bake for 11 minutes or until centers is just set.
