My kids love fried apples and ask for this often. This goes nicely as a side dish with ham, chicken or pork.
Recipe type: Side Dish
- 4 apples, peeled and sliced ( of your choice)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ⅓ cup brown sugar ( I use less)
- 2 tablespoons water
- Peel and slice apples.
- Melt butter in a large frying pan.
- Add apples and cook turning often until soft.
- Add brown sugar and water and turn to combine.
- Cook until apples are coated like syrup.
